Israel is prepared to participate in any future US military strikes against Iran if requested by Washington, but is awaiting approval from US President Donald Trump, according to a report by Israel’s Kan public broadcaster on Friday.

The report, which did not cite any sources, said Israeli officials believe military exchanges between the United States and Iran could continue in the coming days.

Separately, the New York Post, quoting an unnamed source in Jerusalem, reported that Israel would be willing to join any renewed military action against Iran if the conflict escalates further.

The reports come amid renewed hostilities between Washington and Tehran following alleged Iranian attacks on commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

In recent days, the United States launched airstrikes on multiple targets inside Iran, saying the operation was in response to threats against international shipping. The strikes reportedly caused casualties and damage to military and infrastructure facilities.

Iran retaliated by launching missiles and drones at US military bases and facilities in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Jordan, marking one of the most significant escalations in regional tensions since the two sides resumed hostilities.

The latest reports have heightened concerns that Israel could become directly involved in any future US-led military campaign against Iran, raising the risk of a broader conflict across the Middle East.
