Joheiry Mola Dominguez of the Dominican Republic has been crowned Miss World 2026, beating 110 contestants at the grand final in Nha Trang, Vietnam, on Saturday.
Mola, who was crowned Miss World Dominican Republic 2025, received the traditional blue crown from outgoing Miss World Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand.
A model and journalist, Mola also works as a teacher and social activist. Elisabeth Raines of Spain was named first runner-up, while Malaysia’s Tanusya Shetty finished second runner-up.
The competition featured contestants from Africa, the Americas and Caribbean, Europe, and Asia and Oceania. The field was narrowed from 111 contestants to the top 40, 20 and 12 before six finalists competed in the final stage.
Founded in Britain by Eric Morley in 1951, Miss World is one of the world’s oldest international beauty pageants. Contestants compete in various challenges and are assessed on personality, confidence, communication skills and responses to on-stage questions.
