US President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States will “somehow” win the ongoing war with Iran, while hinting that major changes could soon take place concerning Iran.

Speaking at an event at the White House, Trump said Iran’s economy had collapsed and that the country was going through a difficult situation.

He also claimed that the United States had complete control over the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important oil transportation routes.

According to Trump, more oil is currently being transported through the strait than at any other time in history.

He further claimed that Iran’s army, navy and air force had been completely destroyed and that inflation in the country had reached its highest level.

Regarding the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq, Trump said the last American troops had now left the country, describing the day as an important one for the United States.

According to Trump, the United States had achieved a “final victory” over the Islamic State (IS) in Iraq. He described the withdrawal of US troops as a victory for both the United States and Iraq.

Trump also said that 13 US troops were killed and 48 wounded during the withdrawal from Afghanistan, adding that some soldiers lost limbs there.

However, he said the situation in Iraq was different. Unlike Afghanistan, Trump claimed, the United States was able to remove all of its military equipment from Iraq.

He said the withdrawal of allied forces and military equipment from Iraq had been completed in a planned manner. Source: Sama TV.
