At least 14 Palestinians have been killed in multiple Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, including eight mourners struck during a funeral procession.

The deadliest attack came on Friday when an Israeli drone hit a gathering outside the Ahmad Yassin Mosque in the Al-Balata market area of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, Al Jazeera cited Gaza’s civil defence agency and Al-Awda Hospital.

The hospital said eight people were killed and at least 20 others injured.

Witnesses told Al Jazeera the mourners had gathered outside the mosque before the funeral procession for a Palestinian killed in a separate Israeli attack earlier the same day in the area.

“The people who were participating in the procession were coming out of the mosque when a drone strike targeted a group of people within the procession itself,” the Qatari broadcaster quoted its correspondent Hani Mahmoud.

As per Al Jazeera, the Israeli military confirmed carrying out the strike.

It said it had targeted a “terrorist” cell in central Gaza but was aware of reports that civilians had been harmed and that the outcome of the attack was under review.

Hamas condemned the strike, accusing Israel of systematically violating the ceasefire and continuing to kill civilians despite mediation efforts and international scrutiny.

Elsewhere on Friday, a 52-year-old woman was killed near Abu Tammam School in Beit Lahia after an Israeli drone dropped a bomb nearby, the Palestinian Wafa News Agency reported.

Another Palestinian was killed and several others wounded in an Israeli strike on a gathering in Az-Zawayda in central Gaza.

In al-Sawarha, west of Nuseirat refugee camp, one person was killed after Israeli fire hit a structure sheltering displaced people.

A separate drone strike on an apartment in Gaza City killed another Palestinian and wounded several others, including children, while another woman died from wounds sustained in Israeli gunfire southwest of Khan Younis, Al Jazeera said.
