Commodore Fazlar Rahman new BSC MD

Commodore Fazlar Rahman has been appointed as the new Managing Director (MD) of the state-owned Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC), replacing Commodore Mahmudul Malek.

The Ministry of Shipping issued a notification confirming the appointment. Commodore Fazlar Rahman, a Bangladesh Navy officer, will assume the responsibilities of the corporation with immediate effect, according to the order.

BSC is Bangladesh’s only state-owned ocean-going shipping company. It operates under the Ministry of Shipping and manages the country’s national fleet, transporting crude oil, LNG, food grains and other cargo on international routes while also supporting the nation’s maritime trade.
