Two new requirements will be added to Thailand visa applications from Monday (August 31), the Thai Embassy in Dhaka has announced.

From August 31, applicants for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) will be required to submit two additional documents.

Under the new rules, applicants must provide proof of permanent residence in the country from which they are applying.

They must also submit a police clearance certificate issued by either their home country or their country of permanent residence.

An official document confirming that the applicant has no criminal record will also be accepted instead of a police clearance certificate.

The embassy said the documents must be submitted in their original language along with English translations.

Applicants have been advised to carefully check the complete list of required documents before submitting their visa applications.

For DTV applications and detailed information, the embassy has advised applicants to use Thailand’s official e-Visa portal.
