The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has taken an initiative to promote non-cadre assistant teachers at secondary schools to senior teacher positions.

The directorate has sought the necessary information from the concerned teachers for the promotion process.

The information was disclosed in a notice signed by SM Moslem Uddin, assistant director (Secondary-2) of DSHE, on Wednesday.

According to the notice, assistant teachers recruited from the 34th, 35th and 36th BCS (non-cadre) batches and working under the Schools and Inspection Branch are being considered for promotion from assistant teacher to senior teacher.

The concerned regional deputy directors have been asked to send the required documents to DSHE by September 23 through a messenger, with two hard copies.

The required documents include the annual confidential reports (ACRs) of the past five years, a certificate from the head of the institution confirming that the teacher has no departmental or criminal case or audit objection, and a certificate stating that the teacher’s service has been satisfactory.

The documents are to be submitted for teachers working under all regional offices of the Schools and Inspection Branch.
