A mosque in the occupied West Bank was set on fire while Israeli forces detained at least 80 Palestinians in a sweeping crackdown across the territory, Palestinian sources said.
Local reports said Israeli settlers torched the Al-Rahma Mosque in Qusra, a town south of Nablus. Footage circulating online showed flames engulfing parts of the mosque, though the full extent of the damage was not immediately clear. Israeli authorities have not issued an official response to the incident.
At the same time, Israeli forces carried out a wide-ranging arrest operation across the West Bank, detaining at least 80 Palestinians, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA. Arrests were reported in multiple areas, including Ramallah, Jenin, Hebron, Bethlehem and Tulkarm.
Israeli troops also launched a large-scale military operation in and around Jenin, extending raids into nearby villages.
Meanwhile, Israeli broadcaster Kan reported that additional checkpoints had been set up along major roads and at entrances to several towns, tightening movement restrictions.
The intensified operations come in the wake of recent clashes that left four Palestinians and two Israeli soldiers dead, prompting a broader escalation in security measures, including increased arrests and restrictions across the West Bank.
