Two more politicians were sworn in as state ministers in the Bangladesh government on Friday evening (August 21), shortly after Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir took oath as president.
Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir and Gaibandha-4 (Gobindaganj) MP Shamim Kayser were sworn in as state ministers.
Earlier, BNP Standing Committee member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Rasheduzzaman Millat, Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) Chairman Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partho and Bandarban district BNP convener Saching Pru Jerry took oath as ministers.
The oath-taking ceremony for the new ministers and state ministers was held at the Durbar Hall of Bangabhaban immediately after Fakhrul’s swearing-in as the country’s 23rd president.
