Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has alleged that Iran tried to kill one of his sons. However, he did not provide any details or evidence to support the claim. Sky News reported the development.
Netanyahu made the serious allegation in a recent telephone interview with Israeli television channel Channel 14. He did not specify when the alleged plot took place, which of his two sons—Yair Netanyahu or Avner Netanyahu—was targeted, or how far the alleged plot progressed.
Netanyahu made the remarks while responding to reports that an Israeli security agency had refused to provide protection to one of his political rivals ahead of the upcoming nationwide election.
Speaking about his sons, Netanyahu said, “If I talk about my sons—something unbelievable happened here. Yes, Iran targeted one of my sons. Iran tried to kill one of my sons.”
