A series of cocktail explosions were reported at eight key locations in Dhaka on Friday, with one rickshaw puller injured in Jatrabari, according to Kalbela.The explosions occurred from Friday afternoon to around 10pm in Jĺpatrabari, Malibagh, Agargaon, Mohakhali, Babubazar, Bangabazar, Gulistan and Moghbazar areas.
Two cocktails exploded in front of Fortune Shopping Mall in Malibagh after Friday prayers, while two more exploded in Mohakhali around 6pm. Another explosion was reported near the Bangladesh Betar building in Agargaon.
Around 7:40pm, three explosions were heard in front of Jatrabari Police Station. A rickshaw puller was injured in the incident, police said.
Later, explosions were reported near Moghbazar Chowrasta Mosque and at Babubazar, Bangabazar and Gulistan. Police are investigating the incidents and trying to identify those responsible.
