Bangladesh, Maldives eye stronger bilateral ties

Maldives’ High Commissioner to Bangladesh Shiuneen Rasheed met Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam on Sunday and discussed issues of mutual interest, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.

During the meeting, they highlighted the longstanding friendship between Bangladesh and the Maldives and reviewed ongoing cooperation in regional and multilateral forums.

The discussions also focused on exploring new avenues to deepen collaboration and expand mutually beneficial opportunities in areas of shared interest, further reinforcing the close ties between the two countries.
