Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called on Muslim countries to strengthen unity and regional cooperation, urging them to overcome differences and adopt a coordinated position on shared challenges.

He made the remarks on Monday during a meeting in Tehran with senior officials from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkiye, focusing on regional security and cooperation.

Pezeshkian said Iran supported any agreement that would strengthen unity, solidarity, security and development among Islamic countries.

He said Muslim nations could draw on their shared capabilities to offer the world a model of justice and development.

He also urged regional countries not to allow differences of opinion to undermine their common interests.

The meeting discussed regional security, developments in Palestine and Lebanon, and the consequences of the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel.

Pezeshkian also called for greater economic cooperation, saying regional countries should work together to meet one another’s needs and resist external pressure.

The meeting brought together representatives of the four countries as part of efforts to strengthen regional cooperation and promote stability.
