The Chinese Embassy in Dhaka has announced a simplified visa process for Bangladeshi businesspeople and visitors planning to attend the 140th China Import and Export Fair, widely known as the Canton Fair.
The fair will be held in Guangzhou in three phases from October 15 to November 4, 2026.
Under the simplified arrangement, Bangladeshi applicants will only need to submit the official invitation letter issued by the Canton Fair organisers as the mandatory document for their visa applications.
Applicants may also voluntarily upload supporting documents, including previous Chinese visas, travel records and company guarantee letters, to facilitate processing.
The embassy urged applicants to provide accurate information in their online visa applications.
It warned that incomplete or incorrect applications could be returned for correction.
It also cautioned that forged invitation letters, false information or fake documents could result in visa rejection and affect future visa applications.
The embassy said no individual or organisation has been authorised to provide visa services on its behalf and warned applicants against fraudulent offers such as “guaranteed visas” or “special channels.”
Visa type, validity, duration of stay and number of entries will be determined in accordance with relevant regulations and each applicant’s circumstances.
