More than 2,500 job seekers attended the nextjobz Career Summit and Job Fest 2026 in Dhaka, competing for around 750 vacancies offered by over 100 employers.
Held Tuesday at the Krishibid Institution in Farmgate, the day-long event featured walk-in interviews, career guidance, networking and skills-development sessions.
Dr Nazneen Kawshar Chowdhury, secretary and executive chairman of the National Skills Development Authority, said academic qualifications alone were no longer enough and urged job seekers to build technical, professional and soft skills.
nextjobz Chief Business Officer Shoeb Hassan said the platform aimed to directly connect employers with job seekers while supporting skills development.
The event also showcased nextjobz’s Learning Lab training platform and Next Resource headhunting and staffing services, bringing together students, fresh graduates and experienced professionals.
