The summer transfer window is gathering momentum, with Arsenal reportedly on the verge of completing the signing of Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United in one of the biggest deals of the summer.
According to reports, Arsenal have agreed a transfer fee of around £80 million for the Newcastle captain, who is expected to undergo a medical on Monday. The Gunners are also pursuing a club-record move for Vinicius Junior, with the Brazilian winger said to have agreed personal terms. However, the deal remains uncertain as the Real Madrid star is still in contract talks with the Spanish giants.
Elsewhere, Manchester United are also targeting Newcastle, having reportedly agreed personal terms with left-back Lewis Hall ahead of a formal bid. Arsenal youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly is viewed as an alternative option, while Nottingham Forest striker Igor Thiago has emerged as another target amid uncertainty surrounding Marcus Rashford’s future.
Chelsea continue to strengthen their squad and are close to finalising deals for experienced duo Jordan Henderson and Danny Welbeck. The Blues have also submitted an improved offer for Pep Chavarria, while Alex Scott remains a priority target, with reports suggesting a fresh £70 million bid could be made.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are preparing a move for Bradley Barcola as a potential long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, with an opening offer expected soon. Tottenham Hotspur could also play a role in Liverpool’s plans by making a move for Cody Gakpo.
In other developments, Roberto De Zerbi is reportedly interested in signing Savinho, while speculation continues over the future of Tottenham defender Cristian Romero, who has been linked with a possible exit.
With several high-profile negotiations underway, the final weeks of the transfer window promise more major moves across Europe’s top clubs.
