DHAKA — Mobile financial service provider bKash has won two international awards at The Money Awards 2026 in recognition of its initiatives to promote financial inclusion among small merchants and expand Bangladesh’s cashless transaction ecosystem.

The awards were presented at a ceremony organised by Money20/20, a global fintech events and networking platform, in Las Vegas, United States, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.

bKash received the Gold Award in the Payments – Financial Inclusion category for its efforts to bring small and micro-entrepreneurs from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds into the formal financial system through accessible digital payment solutions.

The company also received the Silver Award in the top-tier Diamond category for developing an interconnected transaction ecosystem between consumers and merchants. The initiative facilitates everyday digital payments and supports the expansion of cashless transactions across Bangladesh.

The Money Awards recognise solutions in the global financial technology sector that contribute to financial inclusion and digital transformation. Winners are selected by an international panel of industry leaders.

The awards cover six categories: Early Stage Startup, Growth Stage Startup, Banking, Payments, Partnerships & Strategic Alliance, and Diamond.

In the inaugural edition in 2025, JPMorgan Payments, Ant Group and Mynt were among the winners.

The latest recognition highlights bKash’s efforts to expand digital payment services among small businesses and consumers, supporting wider participation in the formal financial system and the growing use of cashless transactions in Bangladesh.
