The three-day international tourism fair Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2026 will begin in Dhaka on October 29, with the event continuing until October 31 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC).
The fair is being organised by the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB), the country’s leading tourism industry organisation.
TOAB President Mohammad Hanif unveiled details of the event at a press conference at Crowne Plaza Dhaka on Monday.
The fair aims to promote the tourism sector, create new business opportunities and strengthen regional and international cooperation, organisers said. US-Bangla Airlines is the title sponsor of BTTF 2026.
More than 20 countries are expected to participate in the fair, which will feature over 200 booths and stalls. More than 220 exhibitors, over 250 qualified buyers and more than 2,500 trade visitors are expected to attend. Organisers are also expecting more than 60,000 visitors during the three-day event.
More than 200 tourism-related organisations, including airlines, hotels and tour operators, will participate across four themed exhibition halls. Local and international companies will showcase their services, products and tourism destinations.
Participation has already been confirmed by tourism organisations from Nepal, India, Singapore, the Maldives and the Philippines. Companies, tour operators and travel agencies from Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, China, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Thailand, Brunei, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Azerbaijan are also expected to take part.
Organisers said the participation of international tourism partners would help promote destinations, expand business networks and strengthen cooperation between Bangladesh and global tourism markets.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Ministry of Cultural Affairs, National Skills Development Authority, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, Bangladesh Tourism Board, Tourist Police Bangladesh and the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) will provide support to the event.
Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport is the platinum hospitality partner, while Opus Communications Limited, M360 ICT and Convoy Services are serving as the PR, technology and transport partners respectively.
Organisers said BTTF has established itself as one of South Asia’s important tourism marketplaces following more than 13 successful editions. By bringing buyers and sellers together on a single platform, the fair has helped create new business opportunities and strengthen regional and international tourism cooperation.
They expect BTTF 2026 to boost international promotion of Bangladeshi tourism destinations, generate new business contacts and further strengthen Bangladesh’s position in the global tourism market.
