DHAKA: The capital is expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by intense thunderstorms from Tuesday morning through noon, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
The sky is likely to remain cloudy across much of the country from the morning, with scattered rainfall in some areas. As the day progresses, rainfall activity may increase in different parts of the country. Some areas could experience rain and thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds, while moderate to heavy rainfall is also possible in several regions.
In Dhaka, cloudy conditions are expected from the morning, with the likelihood of rain increasing as the day progresses.
According to meteorological information, a thunderstorm system is gradually moving toward Dhaka from the Chattogram region. As of Tuesday morning, the storm was passing over Cumilla, Chandpur and Lakshmipur. Forecasts indicate that it may move across Narayanganj and Narsingdi between 7:00 am and 9:00 am, before reaching Dhaka between 8:00 am and 11:00 am.
Rainfall in the capital could continue for approximately 2 to 5 hours, with thunderstorms and heavy rain possible during the period.
