Qatar’s Minister of Labour Dr Ali bin Saeed bin Samikh Al Marri held a courtesy meeting and bilateral talks with Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman, who is on an official visit to Doha.
The meeting was held in Doha on Wednesday (August 19).
The two ministers discussed ways to strengthen labour cooperation between Bangladesh and Qatar, ensure the welfare and protection of migrant workers, and expand employment opportunities for skilled and semi-skilled Bangladeshi workers in Qatar.
During the meeting, Minister Al Marri highly praised the significant and effective contributions of Bangladeshi workers to Qatar’s economic prosperity and ongoing development projects. He said Bangladeshi workers are contributing to various sectors in Qatar with great dedication and skill.
Both ministers expressed their governments’ firm commitment to further strengthening mutual cooperation in the labour and manpower sectors and taking the strategic relationship between the two countries to a new height.
