Bangladesh condemns Houthi drone attack in Madinah

Bangladesh has strongly condemned a Houthi drone attack on the Taibah power plant in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the condemnation in a press release issued on Sunday.

The ministry said deliberately targeting critical civilian infrastructure supplying electricity to the Prophet’s Mosque was an unacceptable assault on the sanctity of one of Islam’s holiest sites.

The Bangladesh government also expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in its efforts to protect the country’s security and sovereignty.

Bangladesh firmly rejects any aggressive action that undermines regional peace and stability, the ministry said.
