Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 has emerged as a major box-office success, grossing more than Rs 130 crore worldwide within four days of its release.
The film has become Hashmi’s highest-grossing solo venture.
Released on August 14, the action thriller enjoyed a strong opening weekend, with worldwide earnings crossing the Rs 100 crore mark in just three days.
By the end of Day 3, reports put its worldwide gross at around Rs 110 crore.
The sequel to the 2007 cult film Awarapan stars Emraan Hashmi alongside Disha Patani and is directed by Nitin Kakkar.
The film’s strong performance has marked a significant comeback for Hashmi after a prolonged period of weaker box-office results.
By the morning of August 18, Awarapan 2 had earned approximately Rs 130.82 crore worldwide, according to industry tracker Sacnilk figures cited by The Indian Express.
