The Bangladesh Police Service Association (BPSA) on Wednesday announced its full 151-member Central Executive Committee following the Association’s Annual General Meeting held on May 13, according to a notification issued by Police Headquarters.
The committee was finalised after members unanimously elected a new leadership during the annual general meeting.
Under the new leadership, former Criminal Investigation Department (CID) chief and current Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed was elected President, while Dhaka District Superintendent of Police Shamima Parvin was elected General Secretary.
The newly announced committee includes the President and General Secretary, 10 Vice-Presidents, seven Joint General Secretaries, one Organising Secretary, six Joint Organising Secretaries, one Treasurer, one Joint Treasurer, one Office Secretary, one Joint Office Secretary, one Legal Affairs Secretary, along with members serving in various other organisational positions, completing the 151-member Central Executive Committee.
According to Police Headquarters, the committee has been constituted to strengthen the organisational activities of the Bangladesh Police Service Association and promote the professional interests and welfare of its members.
The Association represents officers of the Bangladesh Police Service and works to safeguard their professional development, welfare and institutional interests while supporting initiatives aimed at improving policing standards in the country.
