Bangladesh will send a full-strength men’s T20 team to the 2026 Asian Games in Japan, with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) targeting a gold medal.

Litton Das has been named captain of the 15-member squad, with Towhid Hridoy as vice-captain. Najmul Hossain Shanto and Hasan Mahmud have also returned to the T20I setup.

The squad includes several of Bangladesh’s regular T20 players, including Tanzid Hasan, Parvez Hossain Emon, Saif Hassan, Mosaddek Hossain, Yasir Ali, Rishad Hossain, Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Mohammad Saifuddin, Shoriful Islam and Mustafizur Rahman.

Bangladesh have been drawn directly into the quarter-finals due to their ranking.

They will play their quarter-final on September 29, with their opponent to come from Group B, featuring Hong Kong, Malaysia and Oman.

Bangladesh won the gold medal when cricket made its Asian Games debut at Guangzhou 2010, defeating Afghanistan by five wickets in the final. The BCB now hopes the full-strength squad can repeat that success in Japan.
