Import and export activities at Hili land port in Dinajpur’s Hakimpur upazila will remain suspended for one day on Wednesday (August 26) on the occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH).
Md Shahinur Islam Shahin, general secretary of the Hili Customs C&F Agents Association, confirmed the matter on Tuesday morning (August 25).
He said import and export operations between Bangladesh and India through the Hili land port would remain closed on Wednesday due to the government holiday.
Trade activities will resume as usual from Thursday (August 27), he added.
Meanwhile, Hili Immigration Checkpost Officer-in-Charge Zakaria said passenger movement between the two countries through the checkpost would remain normal despite the public holiday.
