Light to moderate rain and thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, are likely in parts of Bangladesh, particularly in Chattogram division, as a trough of low pressure lies over the North Bay, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
A low-pressure area is likely to form over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas within the next 24 hours, potentially affecting weather conditions in parts of the country.
The BMD’s 120-hour forecast, issued at 9:00am on Tuesday (October 13), said rainfall is likely at a few places in Chattogram division and at one or two places in Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions.
Elsewhere, the weather may remain mainly dry, with temporarily partly cloudy skies.
Day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged across the country during the forecast period.
The minimum temperature recorded on Tuesday was 19.3 degrees Celsius in Tetulia, while the maximum temperature on Monday was 36.1 degrees Celsius in Sandwip.
The sun is expected to set in Dhaka at 5:35pm on Tuesday, while sunrise on Wednesday is forecast for 5:55am.
