Two to three low-pressure systems may develop over the Bay of Bengal in November, of which one or two could intensify into cyclones, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast.
According to the weather department’s monthly long-range forecast, the country is likely to receive below-normal rainfall during the month.
The forecast was issued at a meeting of the expert committee on long-range weather forecasting held at the Storm Warning Centre in Agargaon, Dhaka, on November 1.
The BMD said day and night temperatures may gradually decline throughout the month, although both could remain above normal.
Light to moderate fog may occur in some parts of the country, particularly in river basins, from late night to morning, the forecast said.
Meanwhile, the major rivers across the country are likely to maintain their normal flow during the month.
