Three people were killed and at least 30 others injured when a bus lost control and plunged into a roadside ditch in Muksudpur upazila of Gopalganj on Sunday (September 6).
Among the injured, 12 were admitted to Muksudpur Upazila Health Complex in critical condition. The identities of the deceased and injured have not yet been confirmed.
The accident occurred at around 10:45am near Gerakhola Bridge on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway in Muksudpur.
Police said a Tungipara Express bus travelling from Khulna to Dhaka veered off the highway and crashed into a roadside ditch in the Gerakhola area. The bus was badly damaged in the accident.
Three passengers died on the spot, while at least 30 others were injured.
On information, police and Fire Service personnel rushed to the scene and launched a rescue operation.
Md Azadur Rahman, a sergeant of Bhanga Highway Police Station, confirmed the incident.
