DHAKA: Six officers of the ranks of additional superintendent of police and assistant superintendent of police have been transferred and assigned to new workplaces in different units of Bangladesh Police.
An order to this effect was issued in a notification by the Personnel Management-1 branch of Police Headquarters on Saturday (October 31). Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir signed the notification.
According to the notification, Additional Superintendent of Police SM Al-Beruni has been transferred from Khulna to Police Headquarters in Dhaka. Additional Superintendent of Police Md Hannul Islam has been transferred from the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to Industrial Police, while Farzana Imroz has been transferred from the PBI to Tourist Police.
In addition, Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Toyasir Jahan Babu has been assigned to the Police Training Centre (PTC) in Khulna from the Armed Police Battalion (APBn).
Meanwhile, Assistant Superintendent of Police Md Shamsul Alam has been transferred from Ramgarh Circle in Lakshmipur to Godagari Circle in Rajshahi, while Assistant Superintendent of Police Md Ali Arshad has been transferred from SARB to Police Staff College in Dhaka.
The notification stated that the officers concerned must hand over their current responsibilities by November 9. Otherwise, they will be considered stand-released from their posts with effect from November 10.
