Bangladesh reduced Afghanistan to 212 for eight after a dramatic collapse on the third morning of the Abu Dhabi Test, with Hasan Mahmud taking a hat-trick.

Bangladesh were bowled out for 346 in their first innings. Afghanistan had made a promising start in reply, finishing the second day on 211 for four.

Ebadot Hossain struck in the third over of the morning, clean-bowling Ikram Ali Khil for 32.

Hasan then took two wickets off consecutive deliveries in the next over. He bowled Ismat Alam for one with a superb delivery before Qais Ahmad was caught by wicketkeeper Litton Das for a duck.
The rapid strikes left Afghanistan reeling as Bangladesh seized control of the innings.
