India’s Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has said there is no new information regarding Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s possible visit to India.
Speaking at a regular press briefing in New Delhi on Tuesday, Jaiswal said he had no update on whether Rahman would attend the outreach session of the BRICS Summit in New Delhi.
The 18th BRICS Summit is scheduled to be held in New Delhi on September 12–13. India has invited Rahman, in his capacity as chair of BIMSTEC, to attend the summit’s outreach session.
